Haiti Updates & 4 Months of Waiting

It has been four months of waiting since DTE of 5/30/2008. I don't have any more information than that for those of you wanting to know. :)

On a different note, as many of you are aware, I recently went to Ouanaminthe, Haiti, to visit an orphanage that our church supports there. It was a very rewarding time with Danita Estrella and the kids at Hope for Haiti. The Single Experience at Victory Church raised money to provide new shoes for the children at the orphanage. We raised enough for every child, all 75, to have a new pair of shoes. To view the photos and videos of the trip, please click here. It was so great to be able to love on the children that range in age from 2 to 16.

Happy New Year 2001

Yep, that is correct. Today is the new year according to the Ethiopian calendar, and yes, they recognize it as the year 2001. I encourage you to reflect, as you would the American new year, on what changes for the better you can make. What would God have you do? Who does He want you to become? Pursue Him today. Progress on the journey today. Make it a great day and year!!! Have a blessed one.

3 Months, 1 Week, & 3 Days...but who's counting?

So, I've been going to post something since the three months mark hit of waiting for a referral, but it has been soooo crazy busy here that I am just now getting to it. :) Yep, three months has flown by. I hope the remainder of the time goes as quickly. I am nearing completion on the nursery, and just got the curtains finished this morning. Here are photos. Enjoy!
