Yep, that's right. Finalizing an adoption and getting engaged at the same time. Traveling in August to pick up baby girl. And, getting married on November 21, 2009, at 1pm in Oklahoma City. And, finally, moving to New Haven/Hamden, Connecticut, after that. Wow! What a year 2009 will have been when it's all said and done.
Chris and I got engagement photos taken a couple days ago. Here are a few samples. More will be forthcoming within the next few weeks.

Encouraging Words
Psalm 27:13-14 NLT
Yet I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
Galatians 6:9 NKJV
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

So excited for you! Congrats.
wOW!! cONGRATS!! What a year you have had and will continue to have!! Looking forward to hearing wedding plans on top of new mom plans!!! Whew!! :)
WOW! When I read about the changes that will take place in your life over the next year, one word came to mind...refinement! God has used parenting, marriage, and a move to a state where I knew only Mark as major refining fires in my life. God used marriage to teach me that there is joy and peace when I seek to serve my spouse, and discord and frustration when I am selfish. God continues to use my kids to teach me to be unselfish and focus on others instead of myself. The move to Oklahoma taught me that my significance is not in being a teacher, or a leader in the church, but in being a child of the King.
So I am very motivated to pray for you as you head into what most likely will be a very refining year!
Blessings to you!
